"There's nothing here to take for granted, with each breath that we take"

Wow, the last two weekends have been absolutely nuts. On Friday I went to The Dear Hunter concert with The Fall of Troy, and it was a fantastic show. This was the second time I've seen both bands, and The Dear Hunter is by far the best live performance I've ever seen, they really are phenomenal live. The Fall of Troy was absolutely crazy, the moshing was nuts. I got shoved all the way to the front, into the barricade, but I was relatively in the front in the first place so it wasn't that unexpected. :P

After the show, I bought a Dear Hunter shirt, and chatted with The Dear Hunter's drummer a bit. One of my friends wanted to get something signed by the Fall of Troy's singer Thomas, so we ran into him and he got his shirt signed. I went and chatted with Thomas really briefly, and just told him "I didn't come here to get anything signed or anything, I just wanted to tell you you're a fucking badass." He immediately proceeded to hug me and thank me, I could tell he was a bit tired of signing everyone's shit. Felt good to make him smile and stuff.

Yesterday was absolutely nuts too, I watched the Georgia Tech game in the afternoon, which we managed to win. Virginia isn't exactly a powerhouse team, but we hadn't won in Charlottesville since 1990, so this was a big win for the program. Afterwards, Nathan and I made our way to the Tabernacle for the Atreyu/Hollywood Undead show which was spectacular. Both bands put on an amazing show, Hollywood Undead had some of the sickest stage prescence I've ever seen. Absolutely nuts.

I think after all the craziness I'm just going to take it easy today, probably won't even leave my apartment. Fantastic weekend overall though, that's about all my fun for the semester. :P
