Pieces of Memories Fall to the Ground
Well, because I ran off to class in my last blog, I figured I should update some more. I don't think I've done a real blog since April 14th (until yesterday). On my "hiatus" quite a lot has happened, so I guess I should fill you all in.
Going home has been interesting, but at the same time it makes me miss living the college life quite a bit. While it's nice to see my parents every once in a while, I really like being on my own. They tend to be quite frustrating at times because we're just different types of people. My parents have been asking me to cook a lot when I'm at home, and I guess it's because they want me to cook a lot when I'm living in the apartment next year, but I haven't lost a lot of my cooking skills that I've had. I'm still a grilling beast, so if anyone wants a good burger or anything, come over. I make a fantastic burger!
Anyway, upon arriving at home, I really have been out of the house a lot more than usual. I think at one point, I didn't even run into anyone from my family for almost three days. They would go to sleep before I'd get home, and I'd wake up after they left the house. Driving seems to be my source of sanity in a way. I drive to think, and cool off, and all that jazz. Also I guess a regular routine lately are my late night talks with my friend Brooke. It provides some comfort in a way, she's really a great friend. We talk about the most random subjects, but it's a great way to unwind and just get things off your mind. You know when you first meet a person, and they seem really interested in who you are, and really listen to you? I think that's what's going on with me and Brooke right now, but I don't think it's going to change anytime soon. In fact, I hope it never changes, it's really a highlight of my day to be completely honest. I get the feeling this is the beginning of a great friendship, considering how much we've been talking and relating and stuff.
I've tried to see as many friends and stuff as possible, but with working a crapload the last week (I made 150 bucks in one week, which is a nice paycheck for me), and am going straight to work from school the next two days. I'm not exactly looking forward to it, but I might request less hours while I need to focus on school. My town is pretty boring, so seeing friends usually consists of eating in some form, or watching movies, or hanging out at someone's house. So, I've done just that, I've spent SO much money on food lately because I've been eating out a lot of meals, but at least I've gotten to catch up with a lot of friends. I managed to hang out with my old friend Danny (esterk ) who seems to have abandoned his blog, and he's doing really well. It was nice just getting to see him and his parents and stuff, they're all really great people.
I also got together for coffee with my ex girlfriend Jordan, and it was nice. We just talked and caught up and stuff, and I think it's the first time I've run into her since.. probably February or even earlier. I don't know if she's realized it, but she's changed a lot over the last couple of months with recent happenings and stuff, and it's a good thing. She's become a lot more open about her feelings and all that, which kind of put a smile on my face. I love seeing people change and stuff, even the little things that used to frustrate me a lot when we dated have changed some, and I hope that Jordan and I can maintain a friendship. I also like the fact that she's making the most of what she could get, she didn't make it into her dream school (USC, but she really didn't have a way of paying for it either), but is instead pursuing film at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), so she finally understands where I was coming from when I couldn't afford to go anywhere but Georgia Tech.
Well, I'm taking forever with this blog, much longer than I anticipated, and I want to get back to talking with Brooke more. So I'm going to cut this short guys. I hope you all are doing well, as I've noticed a lot of people aren't updating as frequently. Have a great day everyone, and I hope I get to post more soon :]
